Join our online information and advice sessions and learn more about applying to university and student life.

Explore our talks and Q+A sessions covering a range of topics, including the application process, personal statement and interview advice, student funding and finance, and Clearing.

Introduction to UCAS, applying to university and personal statement talk and Q+A for Access to HE students 

Join us for this live session for Access to HE students. Learn about the UCAS hub, including how to create an account and use UCAS to search and apply for courses. Receive support with completing a university application and how to write a strong personal statement to highlight your strengths and experience.

Are you weighing up your options after school or college? Whether you’re unsure about uni or just want to know more, this session is for you. We’ll look at how to choose the right course and university for you, key dates and deadlines you need to know, the application process and student finance. Our staff and current students will be on hand to answer your questions.

Applying for uni through UCAS? Don’t miss our live session covering the application process, key deadlines, what universities are looking for and how to construct your personal statement. Learn how to write a strong personal statement to highlight your strengths with our expert tips from our experienced staff and current students.

Join us for this live talk on preparing for your university interview. Get advice from staff and current students about what to expect and how to get ready for your interview.

Teaching application and interview advice sessions

If you’re thinking of applying for a teacher training course or have already applied and received an invite to interview, why not join our online session to get top tips for your application and how to succeed at interview.  Sessions are available from November to February.

Join us for a live talk from one of our health admissions tutors to learn about how healthcare interviews work, and how you can best prepare for a healthcare related university interview.

If you are interested in art, design and architecture courses, join us to find out how to create a portfolio that will get you noticed and set you apart from other applicants. Our staff and students will give tips and advice on how to prepare your portfolio and what you should include.

Join us for a live presentation on all aspects of UK student funding and finance. This session will cover an overview of student finance, including tuition fees, maintenance loans, and grants available to help fund your education at 小黄书. We’ll also discuss the benefits of part-time work while studying, including opportunities available on and around our campuses.

Our International team will be on hand at the April session to chat about scholarships and answer questions.

  • Thursday 5 March 2026, 5.30 – 6.30pm

Join us for this talk for parents/carers to find out more about all aspects of UK student funding and finance. This will include how student loans and repayments work, interest rates and other costs to consider.

  • Thursday 14 May 2026, 6-7pm

Is your young person thinking about starting university in September 2026? Join us for this talk for parents and carers where we’ll discuss the UCAS timeline, receiving and responding to offers, and sorting out accommodation and student finance. You’ll also learn about UCAS Extra and Clearing, and how they might benefit your young person. This session aims to answer your questions and help you feel more prepared to support your young person through this exciting transition.

University Clearing is part of the UCAS application process. Whether your young person has changed their mind about what or where they want to study, didn’t get the grades they hoped to get, don’t have any offers, or haven’t applied yet, they can secure a university place through Clearing. Have your questions answered at our live talk and Q+A on Clearing at the 小黄书. For parents and carers.
