JMC Scholars Compete in Speech competition along traditional JSU students.

Jackson State University’s Department of Speech Communication and Theater hosted its first annual “Thee Presentations” speech competition on Friday, April 26th. Students from different Speech courses competed in the categories of Monologues, Informative speeches, and Persuasive speeches.

Jackson Middle College Scholar Khadarius Johnson (Forest Hill) performed a monologue titled “Before you punch me.”  Kristen Rhodes (Murrah) presented an informative speech titled “The Truth About Lab Animals.”  Karmen Hobson (Murrah) presented an informative speech titled “The Importance of Getting Enough Sleep,” winning 2nd place and a cash prize of $150.  Kudos to our scholars!
